Happy Misfits Publishing is a new publishing player in France whose ambition is to change the rules of the game in favor of authors.
To do this, three key points:
1) publish new authors
Getting into comics is no small feat, especially when you don't know anyone. Over countless encounters with talented authors who had never been published before, Steeve (the founder of Happy Misfits) decided to create a house that would be theirs.
Highlight tomorrow's comic stars is our main goal.
2) properly remunerate these authors
Not only is getting published for the first time not easy, once done, another sad reality comes to the fore: remuneration.
In France, only 8% of the price of the book is donated to the authors on average. We raise the bar to 30% or more.
This means breaking away from traditional distribution networks and focusing mainly on online sales.
